Good News! - The Proposed change of use from retail (class A1) to hot food take away (class A5) (resubmission of application 2008/13371) for Unit 1 was REFUSED on 26th August 2009. Thanks on behalf of the residents to Councillor Sheila Woodyatt and Councillor Ian Marks. Also residents Abi & David. Well done to those who made the effort to attend.
Unit 1 application - letter to Neil Woodman
Friday 21st August - site visit from Warrington Borough Council Development Control regarding Unit 1 (currently Biba) on whether it is appropriate to have a take-away in this unit. (a change from class A1 to A5). Clearly it isn't. There would be a noisey & ugly chimney fitted. Smells, which would drift through the development. Litter & parking in front of peoples drive ways. Nobody wants a take-away in Unit 1 (or Unit 4). These Units would be better converted into ground floor apartments.
Wednesday 26 August - Planning meeting at the Town Hall. 6.30pm start. Arrive 6.15pm. to register. The more residents in attendance at this meeting the better. It will show the depth of feeling against these nonsensical proposals.
